Vado is a small unincorporated community in southern Doña Ana County, New Mexico, United States. It is located just north of the city of Las Cruces and is part of the Las Cruces Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The population of Vado is around 3,800 people, and the community is primarily known for agriculture, with many farms and ranches producing crops like pecans, chiles, and cotton.
Vado is also home to the annual Vado Speedway Park, which hosts races and other events throughout the year. The community is served by the Gadsden Independent School District, which includes the Vado Elementary, Vado Middle, and Gadsden High schools.
